Bri Leever: Here are really bad reasons to start a community and if you start to see these being teased out in your responses. I don't think this is going to be anybody here because you the heartbeat customers.
Always are amazing. And this is not normally your jam, but here's some really bad reasons. So if you think this is an easy recurring revenue model, like I can just set it and forget it, forget it. There's not like, yes, it is a powerful recurring revenue model. It is not an easy set it and forget it recurring revenue model.
If you think there's passive income involved, there is nothing passive about it. Okay. Next up launch and hire someone else to get members engaged. If you think like, well, I'll just get it started, but then I'll just pay somebody to really like get people talking. You as, as the community leader, as the person who is starting it, I've found it's a big mistake to assume that you can bring in an expert to teach you how to make your community run.
There are, and I am that expert. I am the guide who does that work, but really rather than bringing somebody in to just do it for you, you have to learn how to do it yourself. Okay. Don't outsource for things that you are afraid to learn for yourself. And the third is really similar to that second one, launch it and hire somebody else to figure out how to grow it.
At the end of the day, this is your community. This is your business. No one else in the world is going to be more excited to grow your community than you. So if you are not excited to grow it, to learn how to find new members, to learn how to get those members engaging. You're not, I don't care how much you're willing to pay somebody.
They're not going to be more devoted and excited than you are. So you have to lead in that way. And if you're not that excited about it, then that's okay. Let this idea float by and find the next one that really hits what you want.
Okay. What now? Okay. So if you got everything that you needed from this session and there was a lot here, so that is definitely a possibility.
You are full. The light in me honors the light in you. Have a nice journey.
